Many, many months have passed and real life away from university has kept me very busy. I've been doing freelance work, moved to a new city, managed a bookstore, and now I am back to scrapping along on job interviews and freelance work. Several promising leads in the next few week so that bodes well. As far as art goes, I have worked sparodically amd have some to show for my time. I have moved away from my modeling sources at the university, although I am doing my best to talk Olivia into modeling for me so we will see! Finally. I got a job. I am now a web designer at a local company though the job search isn't finished since I see this one as a temporary postion. I guess it will look nice on my resume and add to my design portfolio. Now that the pressure of starvation is  gone, I can finally get back to doing more art and afford to pay for the life drawing sessions again. I got a lot of work to do if I am to rework my art portfolio for grad school applications as I have planned.

One of my pieces, Paradise Lost, was chosen to be including in an upcoming exhibition, "Energy and Nature". The show is to be held in September at the Bluegrass Energy Expo. It is my first post-graduation show but I'm planning to find as many venues as possible for my work. I am actively seeking exhibitions for my work and I am open to any suggestions or advice. My goal is to find a gallery space downtown to show the new works I am currently creating possibly for a solo show in the spring during Gallery Hop and also to get my work shown in as many exhibitions as possible.
